Brief Introduction:
The Physics Bowl, an American high school physics thinking challenge, is hosted by the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT). The test questions are set and reviewed by a board of directors composed of university physics professors registered with the association and high school physics teachers with rich teaching experience. This project is an extremely influential high school physics thinking challenge in the United States. Every year, more than 500 famous high schools in 11 countries around the world participate. Those who get high scores in the project are welcomed by famous American schools. In the past 8 years, only one high school student got full marks in this project. Participants are required to be high school students.
The exam is divided into two levels of difficulty, Division 1 and Division 2. Division 1 is more suitable for students in grade 10 (IB grade 10, A Level G2 students or GI students with excellent grades); Division 2 is more difficult and more suitable for students in grades 11-12.
Why we recommend Physics Blow:
Participating in the Physics Blow competition not only enhances students’ ability to solve various problems, but also consolidates students’ physics foundation and cultivates their interest in the subject of physics. High scores in this competition are highly valued by universities, especially for students who intend to pursue physics-related majors. The competition is very challenging and provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate their physics abilities on a global stage.

Syllabus Linkage:
The Physics Bowl exam covers all major modules of high school physics, including mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, optics, and modern physics. The knowledge points are 90% consistent with the physics content of ALevel, IB, and AP, but there are some differences in the focus and thinking mode of the exam.
